DE MAARSE PARIS,

  “Less is More” *

A Parisian way of living

De Maarse Paris is a Parisian way of living. Pascaline Rey creates her jewelry inspired by contemporary art, architecture and dance in her studio in Montmartre. As a visual artist, she works on the jewelry like on a sculpture, until obtaining a harmony of lines and proportions. Each jewelry piece embodies the material, history and the influences that gave birth to it. The jewelry reflects a refined, graphic and timeless aesthetic. It’s made for independent and authentic women and men.

Aesthetics and ethics

Pascaline Rey experiments with texture on her jewelry and in her artistic work. She works with textiles, ceramics, enamels and paper. Through the craft of modeling, brassware, lost wax casting and enameling on copper, an individual form evolves. Most of the De Maarse Paris creations are made from shaped or melted brass with lost wax. The jewelry is carefully brushed by hand and gets gilded with fine gold. We have chosen an eco-responsible partner for our gilding process. The wastewater and metals from the production gets recycled in an In Situ Treatment plant. We are constantly working on new unconventional metal treatments to optimize eco-responsibility and quality.
