DE MAARSE PARIS,
“Less is More” *
A Parisian art of living
De Maarse Paris is a Parisian art of living. From her studio in Montmartre, Pascaline Rey sculpts her jewelry inspired by contemporary art, architecture and dance. A visual artist, she works with jewelry like a sculpture to be worn with the material, history and the influences that gave birth to it, until obtaining the correctness of lines and proportions. De Maarse jewelery boasts a refined, graphic and timeless aesthetic aimed at free and authentic women.
Aesthetics and ethics
In her artistic work, as in her jewelry, Pascaline Rey likes to experiment with matter and texture. She works in turn with textile, ceramics, enamels and paper. It is by doing that form is born. Its creation comes directly from the craft, modeling, brassware, lost wax casting, enamelling on copper. Most of our creations are made of shaped or melted brass with lost wax. They are then finely brushed by hand and then gilded with fine gold.
For the gilding, we have chosen an eco-responsible partner who treats all the wastewater and metals through its in situ treatment plant. We are constantly experimenting with new alternatives to traditional metal processing for more quality and eco-responsibility.
